The latest annual list of China's top 100 electronic information companies was announced in Tianjin last week. Huawei ranked No 1, followed by Lenovo and Haier. The three companies each generated more than 250 billion yuan ($36.33 billion) in annual major business revenue. Of the rest on the list, which was launched by the China Information Technology Industry Federation, 12 raked in more than 100 billion yuan in annual business revenue. By the end of 2018, the 100 companies had a total of 388,000 patents.
