As one of the supporting events during the 2nd China International Import Expo and themed on “Innovation, Protection, Development and Win-Win”, the Forum on International Cooperation in Fighting against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting was held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (shanghai) on November 6.

Gan Lin, Head of the Office of National Leading Group on the Fight against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting and Deputy Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation，and Minelik Alemu Getahun, assistant director general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) gave a keynote speech at the forum. Peng Chenlei, Vice Mayor of Shanghai People’s Government also attended and addressed the forum.

The forum is jointly hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and the Office of National Leading Group on the Fight against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting. Speeches and discussions were shared among the guests from foreign law enforcers such as UKIPO, international organizations such as WIPO and International Trademark Association, EU delegation to China, member units of the Office, some industrial associations and enterprises. About 400 domestic and foreign representatives participated in the forum.
