China leads in global sci-tech innovation clusters
China's number of top 100 global science and technology innovation clusters continues to lead the world this year, according to a report of the World Intellectual Property Organization. The 2024 edition of the WIPO's Global Innovation Index released on Monday showed that China had 26 of the top 100 global science and technology innovation clusters, surpassing last year's 24. The United States closely followed with 20, it said, adding that Germany had eight, and India and South Korea each four.
Green patents boost innovative growth
China's commitment to sustainable development has been bolstered by its strong green innovation, as evidenced by a recent report showing a 20 percent year-on-year increase in low-carbon patent applications, outpacing the global average. Released by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the patent report underscores China's pivotal role in propelling global green development. Beijing Internet Court vows to strengthen data protection
Beijing Internet Court has pledged to focus more on handling cases involving emerging businesses and technologies, with great effort to draw regulations in these areas, in a move to help foster new quality productive forces.
