Governments around the world have implemented a wide range of protocols to control the spread of COVID-19 throughout their jurisdictions. The various intellectual property offices have recognised this is an unprecedented situation that may have an impact on the ability of right holders, applicants, opponents and their representatives to meet deadlines associated with their intellectual property rights.

Based on the position and instruction of the BiH Council of Ministers regarding the declaration of a pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH informs the public that in the head office of the Institute in Mostar and in branch offices in Sarajevo and Banja Luka extraordinary office hours are applied with the organization of a minimum work process.

Due to introduction of restricted movement in BiH, office hours of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH are adjusted until further notice.

All communication with the Institute will be conducted by regular mail, fax, telephone and e-mail. Work with clients is suspended. Exceptionally, industrial property representatives who collect mail at the Records Management Office in the Institute's Sarajevo branch office can collect mail every business day from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
