In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 within the territory of Ukraine, to preserve the life, health and safety of our citizens, taking into account the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 11, 2020 No. 211 “On the Prevention of Acute Respiratory Disease COVID-19 within Ukraine caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2", as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 215 of March 16, 2020, by the Decision of the Standing Committee on Technogenic Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations of the Kyiv City State Administration "On additional measures to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)” (the Minutes of Meeting No. 9) of March 11, 2020, the work of Ukrpatent for the period of quarantine up to April 3, 2020 is organized in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine aimed to prevent the occurrence and spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)” as amended by the decisions of the government and the World Health Organization, namely:

The applications for intellectual property rights will be accepted:

●by mail;

●via the mailbox directly at the address of Ukrpatent;

●by means of the Electronic Applications Filing Systems EAFS-1, EAFS-2, by means of the Electronic Interaction System of the Examination Body (hereinafter referred to as electronic systems).

The documents except for applications for intellectual property rights will be accepted:

●by mail;

●by means of electronic systems;

●to Ukrpatent's email: office@ukrpatent.org

The documents related to filing and administration of the State Registers in the IP sphere including patents and certificates will be sent by Ukrpatent per post or via electronic systems.

The order and provision of services prescribed by the List of Paid Services of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute" will be carried out by means of postal communication and /or by Ukrpatent's email: office@ukrpatent.org.

The personal issuance of documents by the General Division of Ukrpatent shall be suspended.

Negotiations or expert meetings on applications filed with the participation of an applicant or his representative shall be suspended.

The consideration of applications or complaints under Articles 18 and 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Citizens' Appeals" by personal presence of citizens shall be suspended.

Any public events and personal reception of citizens shall be suspended at Ukrpatent.

Please, be also informed that in case of non-compliance with the deadlines the applicant’s, the owner’s or any other interested person’s IP rights renewal in respect of the application or registration will be carried out in accordance with national and international legislation in the intellectual property sphere.
